Our Charity

We’re rowing to raise essential funds and awareness for The Archie Foundation — a charity that stands beside children and their families across Scotland when life takes an unexpected turn.

We’ve witnessed their incredible work across a broad range of services, from emergency grants that help families through sudden hospital stays to the funding of specialist equipment and training that strengthen NHS care. They create child-friendly hospital environments and offer bereavement counselling and emotional support for those facing the most difficult times.

By supporting this remarkable charity, our hope is that every child — no matter where they live or what challenges they face — has access to the world-class care, comfort, and compassion they deserve.

“Everyone at The Archie Foundation is incredibly proud to stand behind the Saltire Tides team as they prepare to take on the extraordinary challenge of The World’s Toughest Row. Rowing 3,000 miles entirely unaided across the Atlantic is a mind-blowing challenge that tests the grit of the world’s toughest athletes. It will require incredible resilience, teamwork and determination - qualities that reflect the spirit we see every day in the babies, children and families we support. Choosing to support The Archie Foundation through this challenge will raise vital funds and awareness for the charity, helping us in our mission to transform healthcare and bereavement experiences for local children and ensuring all children in North Scotland can access this vital support whenever and wherever they need it. We are deeply grateful to Ellen, Jenna and Lauren for their commitment, courage and belief in our work, and we will be cheering them on every mile of the journey.”
